International House
British Land has started works to refurbish and part-extend International House at 7 High Street in Ealing. Our aim is to bring the existing office space up to modern standards and create additional space that could bring many more jobs and local investment to the area.
International House forms part of the Ealing Broadway Shopping Centre and was opened in 1985. It comprises approximately 9,290 sqm of office space, which is sat above the shops that line the High Street on the eastern side of the shopping centre.

Our vision for the building is to deliver an additional c.16,000 sqm of office floorspace by creating a new fifth floor extension and enhancing the building’s internal courtyards. This increase in space would be enough to accommodate over 1,500 jobs.
At this same time and to improve both the streetscape and visual appeal of the building, we are seeking to refurbish the main entrance and move the reception area to a new location within the atrium. Only minor interventions are proposed to the façades at the front and back of the building, meaning the project will not dramatically change what can be seen from street level now.
In line with our corporate sustainability targets, the refurbishment would reduce the buildings carbon emissions by 35%.
